We had a full hook-up site which we requested when making a reservation but at the time we were told they would not guarantee more than W & E. The sites are on a hill and have shared hook-ups leaving no more than about 5 feet between the RVs. The sites are not very level side to side and drop off sharply at one end which makes the usable site much shorter. We heard others complain that they could not get level but with blocks we were able to level our 33 foot 5th wheel. There was so little room at our site that we could not fully extend the stairs of our 33 foot 5th wheel. There is limited local TV by antenna with marginal reception. Wi-Fi would not work from our trailer but we could go outside and it would work.

The site was adequate and the Wi-Fi was good. The sewer was uphill so almost unusable. There are side-by-side hookups but the sites have a good space between them. The local TV channels listed in the park brochure are not correct and the person at the desk has no idea what the local channels are because he has cable at home. OK for an overnight stay.

A nice park with good roads and long sites. There was limited TV via antenna. Wi-Fi was free, but it had many restrictions as to what you could do, no downloads, etc, and how long you could use it. They said if it was used too much it would be shut down for 24 hours; and it did shut down while we tried to use it.

We had a nice long, full hook-up, pull-through site. The sites are nicely spaced so there is lots of room between each site. The interior roads were only in fair condition and the dead tree at our site could have been removed making it easier to exit. We would definitely return to this park.

We agree about the park being easy to miss: turn at the drive way down the hill just before you reach the Hilton. We passed it and had to turn around in the Hilton parking lot. Our site was level side to side and we had no trouble raising the front of our 33 foot 5th wheel to level. The pull-through sites are in pairs, side by side with separate utility posts and much closer together than the back-in sites. It is a nice park with good Wi-Fi and cable TV service. They give you coupons for 20% off your bill at the Grill in the Hilton. We'd stay here again and would make a reservation based on how full the park was even in September.

We have stayed here before and will stay here again because of the convenient location. It is easy to find right off of I-80. The park is not the greatest. The sites are not level side to side even with them being paved and are not terribly long. We have a 33 foot 5th wheel and had to park our truck under the goose-neck to fit. Our site had a deep rut in the grass from people driving over it to get into the tight spot. For this price the Wi-Fi should be free but it is provided by a 3rd party at additional cost. The 30 amp power was not good enough to run our A/C along with anything else.

We stayed here in our 33 foot 5th wheel and it was very easy in and out, plus our pull-through site was long enough to easily accomodate both the truck and trailer. The big problem here was the water: because of the iron in the water we were advised to run the hose for 15 seconds before hooking up but even after running it much longer it never ran clear and tasted bad. Two of the three nights: the highway traffic was loud most of the night. Our site was level, Wi-Fi worked but was very slow, and there was cable TV. The park wasn't very full and sites appeared to be assigned with an empty next to most people which was very nice. We'd made a reservation the first of the year and had to pay in full at that time. Upon check-in we were told even with the end of the season rates ours was $3 per night less and the extra night we were requesting would be at that lower rate we'd been charged.

Very nice park with very friendly people running it. It is located right off the highway so there is some traffic noise. Very easy in and out for our 33 foot 5th wheel. Our site was long and level. There is grass in between the sites and small trees. You are given a Wi-Fi code and it works at the site with the best speed we've had in Alaska. There is a very good selection of cable TV stations.

We changed our mind about staying at Sourdough because of the rain, felt under the trees it would be very muddy, and we wanted cable TV. The Wi-Fi is free for 45 minutes and they instruct you to use it all at one time or else you won't get back on. The service worked very well at our site. The sites are tight to get in and out of because of the trees between them. Our full hookup pull-thru site was just long enough for our 33 foot 5th wheel and truck and it was level. We would probably stay here rather than Sourdough if we wanted cable TV and Wi-Fi at our site.

We had a Super pull-thru site with a river view because of the small trailer parked between us and the river. There was plenty of room for our 33 foot 5th wheel with the truck parked in front of it. When we arrived the people next to us had their awning out and there wasn't much room between it and our large room slide when it was out. The cable worked but the picture had some lines through it. The main negative was the Wi-Fi at our site which didn't work all of the time and was very slow. They are in the process of removing some large trees at some sites which will make those sites less tight. Apparently there is a lot of iron in the water in Fairbanks and the laundry had signs posted not to wash light colored clothes and to only use cold water. The office said there shouldn't be any problems just using cold water. We did choose to do laundry but did have a white bath mat that got some large stains on it despite only using cold water. We had dinner at Chena's and the food was very good.

There are only 5 sites in this park that have sewer but there is a dump station. We'd made our reservation more than 6 months before arriving and did get a site with sewer but they will not guarantee that you will get one even by reserving early. On one side of us there was only about 5 feet between us and the next RV and on the other there were some trees but not much more room with slides out. It was easy to get in and out of the site with our 33 foot 5th wheel. WiFi worked well at our site. The main negative about this park is its location just feet from the Talkeetna Spur Highway on one side the the Alaska Railroad on the other side. While we were there we heard 4 trains during the day and the earliest one was at 5:30 am. The highway has very little traffic on it during the late evening and night. The small town, which was crowded with tourists and has limited parking, is about a half a mile walk and consists mainly of shops and places to eat. We would stay here again if we wanted to fish with Mahay's or take one of their Jet boat trips.

This park is in great condition and the location is beautiful with views of mountains and year round snow. There is a 1/3 mile driveway down to the office and the sites are down from there not to far from a lake. The roads and pads are very well graveled and the sites are level with well kept grass in between them. There is good free Wi-Fi but downloading and uploading are only available from 9 pm until 4 am. There are no sewers but they have a dump station. It is very easy to get into and out of the long sites and with our 33 foot 5th wheel and truck there was still lots of room.

We were given a pull-thru site - created by the owner by having us drive through the site behind us. We had no trouble with the Wi-Fi and the cable worked well. The two negatives about this park were the road in the park had lots of pot holes and there is no laundry in the park you have to go into town and use the one at the hotel. We had stayed at the Muni park on two previous trips but would stay at this park again if we returned because it is not totally shaded, price is good with a Senior discount, and has cable and Wi-Fi.

We had expected this campground to be a big gravel pit from previous posts and that Wi-Fi would be available free but this was not the case. There are several rows of pull-thru sites under the pine trees and a large area out in the open with sites very close together. We had a long pull-thru under the trees which was easy to get in and out of but it was very un-level front to back. The Wi-Fi was $10/night so we passed on that. The sites weren't on top of each other and because there were only 7 of us they assigned sites with vacant ones in between. There are no sewers but the dump station was easy to get into and out of. If we were to return to Watson Lake we would stay here rather than the Downtown RV Park where you were so close you could hardly open your door and there were no trees.

There could be a big problem with this park if there are many staying here because the pull-thru sites are designed for 2 RVs. Our site with the stairs out and no slide on that side only had about 10 feet for the other site. There was good free Wi-Fi which reached much further than the previous review. As mentioned there is no sewer for the pull-thrus. The park has some nice big trees and grass but the inside roads had lots of pot holes. There is plenty of room for big rigs.

We could not get our 33 foot 5th wheel level and still have room for the truck with the first site we were given so we found another one and requested they change us. The more it rained the worse the sites got with many having standing water in them, the low spots in the roadways had large puddles, and deep potholes developed on one of the exit roads. There was no WiFi at our site but most of the time you could get on in the laundry room. The TV is by antenna but some of the stations would go off the air while we were watching them. The laundry charges were the most reasonable we have had but half of the washers were out of order and half of the dryers only worked on low heat. There were more long term residents here now and storage under and around their RVs tended to be unsightly. The park is in an older neighborhood with an old Mobile home park down the street. We did not hear of any problems in the park but did see police cars several times in the neighborhood the week we were there. We had stayed here twice before and knew that the sites are not very long nor wide but the park is clean and quiet except for occasional airplanes. We felt this park is the best choice in Anchorage so we’d stay here again but can’t rate it any higher.

This is a nice park with lots of trees which provided some privacy between our site and the next. The site was easy to get into, long and fairly level. There are full hookups with good power. There is no cable and the Wi-Fi doesn’t work at the sites but there is a “hot spot” for it. They offer a Reindeer stew dinner for $10 and a All-U-Can - Eat Sourdough breakfast for $12 but we chose to eat elsewhere. We will return again the end of August.

As stated before this is a large gravel and treeless park but it does have some positive things going for it. You can wash your RV and vehicles at your site, they have freezer space you can rent for your fish, and there are full hookups. We had a super site which was wide enough for slide outs and awnings and was more than long enough for our 33 foot 5th wheel and truck. The sites are easy in and out for even the largest RVs. The cable and Wi-Fi (at your site) both worked well.

We were able to get 11 TV channels that came in good with our antenna. There are nice trees in the park, but they do not provide any privacy between the closely spaced sites. Wi-Fi is $2 per day payable at check-in, and then you are given the security code. We had a great signal and one of the best internet connections we have had. The major problem with this park is that it is right on the highway with lots of traffic noise both day and night. Coming from Palmer the turn into the park is difficult and leaving the park isn't easy with all of the traffic. The staff was friendly and the owners appear to maintain the park well but because of the highway location and getting on and off of the highway we would not return to this park.

Long gravel lot on a slope. We were directed to the top of the slope where we had some beautiful views of Kluane Lake until a caravan starting filling up the lower spots. There are no sewer hookups and the location of the dump made it difficult for larger RVs to use. There was no cable, and no Wi-Fi at your site. They advertised 32 foot wide spots but these spots are for opposite facing vehicles so if someone pulls in next to you there is about half that. The rate is high for what you get but there is very little else in the area.

The park is big and open with some pull-in or back-in sites close to the creek. The remainder of the park is basically a big open area with sites that are much closer together than those along the creek. The first site we had was full hookup and the power wasn’t the best but after requesting another site for our next night, due to being kept up until 1 am by the people next door who ignored the 10 pm quiet time, we had water and electric only and the power was much better. Both of these sites were along the creek. The WiFi and cable worked well at both of the sites. As mentioned before the road to the park is about ¼ mile through a residential area on a gravel-dirt road. The road got worse with mud and potholes during our stay because of constant rain the two days we were there.

If it were not for the price and some road noise we'd rate this park a 10. The Spit W Spots wireless Internet is free for one hour at your RV site and when that hour is over you just click the red Free box again and get another hour free. If you want a faster connection there are options to pay for that. We have stayed at 2 other parks in Homer and agree that this one is the best because of the ease getting in and out, the level sites, the views, the full hookups, cable TV and free wireless Internet.

This is to let others know this campground is not big rig friendly and does not have the hookups shown on the internet. We had made a reservation for a pull-through site for 3 nights based on information we'd read on the internet. This information said there were TV hookups, water, and electric- full hook-ups. When we went to check in we were told there was central water, a dump, and no TV for $42, and we were shown a spot which was so tight we doubted we could open our slide outs. The lady was very nice and after looking at the printed information I showed her she suggested we cancel our reservation and call Heritage if we wanted full hookups and cable. She said she was going to tell the owner about the incorrect information that had been posted on the web.

We made our reservation in May for our July stay and we were very disappointed in this park. The site they gave us, # 11, was impossible for us to level our 33 foot 5th wheel. The worst part was the site had a pen with 4 adult and 9 Husky puppies directly behind us. The odor from the dogs made it impossible for us to open even a window. The dogs whined and barked from early morning to late evening and there was a constant parade of people going to see the puppies. The park was full with no vacancy so it was impossible for us to request another site. When I mentioned to the office staff that our site was very bad because of the dogs she said others had also complained when assigned that site. We felt that with a 2 month old reservation for 2 nights we should have not been put in a spot they obviously knew was less than desirable. The park is very small with all back-ins but there is a small grass area between the sites. The back part of the park has employee housing and there were about 8 RVs there for people employed by the Lodge or RV Park. We were told that the Internet is only free in the lodge which is up hill from the park and if we wanted it at our site it was $2/hour. The only view of the Kenai River is either from the lodge deck or by walking down a very steep road to the river. We did have an excellent dinner in the Lodge's dining room but would never return to this park nor would we recommend it to others.

The park is gravel and dirt behind a mini market where you choose your own site. There are some trees but they don’t provide much shade. The site was easy to get in and out of with our 33 foot 5th wheel but the sites weren’t very level, . The power was barely adequate to run a microwave. There were no sewer hookups but they had 2 dump stations which were easy to use. There was no cable and no Wi-Fi. The Westmark Inn next door has a dinner theater for $42 per person. The park was fairly full by the dinner hour. We would stay there again if we wanted to stop at that time of day.

We had stayed here in 1998 and after staying at Pioneer in 2001 felt this park was the best choice so made a reservation requesting an easy in and out site for our 33 foot 5th wheel. We were given site 88 which was not only about 70 feet long there was a lot of room between us and the next RV and very easy to get in and out of. The Wi-Fi worked well from our site and we had no trouble with its speed. There is cable and it provides lots of stations. The park has lots of trees and the interior gravel roads are well maintained. The only problem we had was with the water hookup which leaked because the hose bib was to close to the handle. The laundry was clean but pricey at $3 per wash load and $1.25 for 25 minutes on the dryer. The park was filled each night and for those wanting to stay here a reservation is a good idea.

A little park with full hookups behind a motel right on the Yukon River. Unlike previous review we had no trouble with the management. There is no cable nor Wi-Fi and the roads are full of potholes. There are only 5 pull-thru sites and 3 of them were filled for the night. Considering the location this park is not a bad stop along the Klondike Highway

We stayed here for two nights in our 33 foot 5th wheel and plan on returning in Sept. for a night. The sites were level and easy to get in and out of. We had cable TV but there were only about 5 stations. The Wi-Fi is not free - $4.95 for 24 hours and this is paid by credit card when you go online. The owner is very friendly and goes out of his way to make you welcome and answer your questions. The lawns, roads, and over-all appearance of the park did not appear as good as what we'd remember from our previous stays in 1998 and 2001 but we would not hesitate to recommend this park to others.

There are two sections to this park and we were in the nicer one which had more grass separating the sites. The back section appeared to have more dirt and less gravel. It was an easy in and out for our 33 foot 5th wheel but our pull-thru gravel site wasn’t very level side to side. The power was good and there is cable TV. Despite a good Wi-Fi signal I was not able to get any web pages or e-mail to open. I later learned that the system was down that day. I did not go to the Internet Lounge and try to get on there. The park is located right off the highway so there is some road noise. We did not use the bathrooms so can not comment.

This is one of the most poorly maintained parks we’ve ever stayed in. The owner is helpful when there is a problem but she needs to fix many things in this park. Between our site and the next there was sewage all over the ground when we pulled in. The owner came immediately and cleaned the ground then put some acid in the hole. The site was assigned shortly after and they dumped their gray water into another sewer drain several feet from the one that had been cleaned. All of the water started pouring out all over the ground. The owner came once again and put more acid down both of the drains and said “my snake is at the other campground" (Dawson Creek- Northern Lights) and told the man he could move because he could not use the sewer. There are cable wires all over and our site had a 3 way splitter, so two adjacent sites could hook up to cable, but the cable channels were all snowy. The sites are fairly level in spots but have deep ruts in other spots. Wi-Fi signal was poor to non-existent at times. This park does get a lot of business each night because it is only one of two parks in Fort Nelson and is large.

The location right on Muncho Lake gives this park a high rating despite its lack of amenities. It was easy to get in and out with our 33 foot 5th wheel but our site was not level side to side. We had no one on one side and there was about 30 feet on the other side. Power is supplied by a generator so 20 amp service is all there is. We had no problem with the water pressure and we had sewer. We knew if we wanted to stay at Muncho Lake and have some hookups we'd need a reservation. By mid-day all of the full service pull-thru sites except one were occupied. There are only 5 of them. The park is behind a motel and cabins and appeared clean and well maintained. The park is very expensive, we knew this before arriving, but it is also the only one in the area with hook-ups. They give you a 10 cents per liter credit on their fuel which is 1.599 per liter and a dollar off coupon on meals in their dining room. We would stay here again.

The location of the park is just off of the highway and there is a lot of traffic both day and night. We stayed here in a 33 foot 5th wheel and had no trouble getting in or out, the site was level, and we had good power. There is a lot of dead grass and weeds but it is located in a grove of trees. The swimming pool is lined with plastic and it was only half filled with water and filled with debris. It is the beginning of the season so maybe things will improve. There is Wi-Fi but it is not free. If we wanted to stop in this area again we would stay here again

The views of the mountains are fantastic, but it is no more than a big gravel lot with full hookup sites that are not the most level. The people who run it have no idea what they are doing as far as placing big rigs in tight spots and smaller trailers in the larger spots. We had only 4 feet between us and a large motor home. We had been in our assigned spot for 5 hours when a young girl came to say we should be in the next spot with the site number on the passenger side rather than the driver’s side and she wanted us to move or re-register. I told her that her grandmother said the hookups and sign were on the driver’s side and she replied “she doesn’t know what she’s doing.“ They were so close that their furnace kept us awake all night. The cable is limited and the reception poor on most of the stations. The advertised free Wi-Fi did not exist- “it doesn’t work and we can’t do anything about it”. We were told that the antenna won’t reach even 50 feet behind the building to the RV Park when working. I suggested they change their advertisement to read that the Wi-Fi only works in the laundry room.

Very nice park with well maintained grassy sites. Our 33 foot 5th wheel and truck just fit in the assigned site. There is space in between the sites so you don't feel closed in. Depending on where you are in the park there are nice views of the mountains. The owner is very helpful when you check in and tells you about all the things in the area. The sites are level and have full hookups plus cable. The Wi-Fi is $5.28/night or $12.92/3 days. You are asked if you have a portable heater that you will be using and if so they charge and additional $3.50 plus tax per day. They have a nice selection of items in their gift shop.

We stayed here once before so knew it was nothing more than a big gravel parking lot. Wi-Fi worked fine at our site despite a low signal, power was OK, and water pressure was adequate. This park is very clean, sites are level, and the owner maintains it very well. In addition to the looks of the park the major problem is that the pull-thru sites are not 25 feet wide they are about 15 feet wide and when you step out of your door the hookups including sewer are right there. The pull-thru sites do fill up with big rigs by late afternoon. It is an easy in and out for our 33 foot 5th wheel. The park is walking distance to the Sign Post Forest, Visitor's Center, and the grocery store. This is the only park in Watson Lake that we could get to respond in order to make a reservation.

This is a clean park and friendly managers but not the best for big rigs. We stayed 2 nights, in our 33foot 5th wheel, in a gravel pull-thru without any shade. There are very few pull-thru sites and some of them would be very difficult for a big rig to get out of. The back section of the park is all back-ins with grass and trees which makes it much more appealing. Those sites appear to be for "long-term" stays. The free Wi-Fi worked well and there was a very basic cable selection. We would stay here again if in the area but would also have a reservation with an RV our size.

We had made a reservation for a pull-thru site and confirmation said they would try---caravan was coming in the 2nd day of our stay and had all the pull-thru sites taken. The back in site we were given worked for our 33 foot 5th wheel but the sites are right on top of each other with the neighbor's sewer connection right outside our trailer door. The sites are not angled so they are not very easy to get into. There was a good main entrance road but the other road to the park was full of large potholes. When it rains the sandy dirt becomes very muddy. There was good cable but the Wi-Fi leaves a great deal to be desired - we were told at check in it is good for only checking e-mails. I was able to get on to the Wi-Fi for the adjacent Dawson RV Park when the one for this park was not available to access the internet. We have stayed at 2 other parks in Dawson City and this one is no better nor no worse. If we were to return we would not stay here. We would once again stay at Gold Rush which is downtown and walking distance to most everything.

The views from the campground give this park a higher rating than the park itself. The sites are long and easy to get into but we had to find just the right spot in our site to get our 33 foot 5th wheel leveled. There are no sewers but they do have a dump. The Wi-Fi worked well from our site but with heavy clouds it did go down for a while. There is no cable or TV. Now in mid June most of the waterfront sites are flooded by the lake.

Nice location right on Dragon Lake and away from highway noise. Easy in & out for our 33 foot 5th wheel. We would have given the park a higher rating except the gravel site was not level and we were not able to get Wi-Fi at our site. Pull-thru sites do not have any trees or grass just gravel.

This is a nothing park with only 15amp power and no sewer connections, but is also the only park in the area for visiting Mayo and Keno unless you drive up to Mayo. It is no more than a field with grass and gravel where you pick your own spot. It is an easy in and out for big rigs. The Wi-Fi only works in the restaurant and not at even the closest sites. If we felt we wanted to stay in the area we’d stay here again but that would be the only reason.

The location of the park is behind a motel and the over-all appearance looks like a big gravel area with some trees and a grassy tent area. The sites were easy for our 33 foot 5th wheel to get into and they are about 20x60 and level. The park wasn't very full so most people had several sites in between them and the next person. If the park was full it would mean your neighbor would be right on top of you. The laundry and park were very clean. You are given a key to the laundry and washrooms which you leave in a deposit box when you depart from the campground. Ten TV stations are available by antenna and there is good free Wi-Fi. One of the interior roads has some large pot holes but the other roads appear to be in good condition.

We stayed here in our 33 foot 5th wheel. The park is clean, managers very friendly and helpful, sites level and easy in and out. There appeared to be mainly "long term" people there and all of the RVs were in "new" condition. We found the only negatives to be the road noise which did not disturb our sleep and that there was no free Wi-Fi.

This park's location is perfect for touring the Olympic Peninsula and taking the Black Ball Ferry to Victoria. We stayed here for 4 nights and found the park to have very few people staying there each night. The sights are not very level, the roads are in only in fair condition, and there appears to be some deferred maintenance in the park. Wi-Fi signal is poor at times but at other times worked just fine. The park is just off the highway and there is quite a bit of noise at all hours but it did not disturb our sleep. There are lots of trees and grass between the gravel pads. We would stay here again but felt the rate was very expensive even with a KOA discount.

We had stayed here 5 or 6 years ago and agree the park isn't in the same condition as it was then - but it is also older. The water faucet was putting out quite a bit of water when we pulled into the site and could not be turned off. Easy to enter pull through sites are very long with plenty of room for both our 33 foot 5th wheel and truck and still room to spare. The sites are narrow when adjoining RVs have their slides out. It is a small park and there are many "long term" residents. We never saw any "junk" around their sites but there were some items stored around some of the RVs. The pool was close to our site which resulted in quite a bit of noise at times. Interstate 5 is very close so there is also highway noise.

We stayed here in our 33 foot 5th wheel for 4 nights during their "Grand Opening" weekend. All of the planned activities had been canceled but we still received a 25% discount. There was a heat wave with temperatures in excess of 100 degrees but never a power problem. The resort was nearly empty most nights so don't know if it would be the same should it ever fill up. Wi-Fi and cable both worked great, staff very friendly and park very clean. It is a new park so all of the trees are very small. The design of the park is perfect for even the largest RV. The biggest negative is the highway noise - but we never heard it unless the windows, vents or doors were open or all was quiet in the RV and we were in the bathroom or near the door. We were on the opposite side of the park from the highway. If highway noise bothers you this park isn't for you. We also heard the train several times but it did not wake either of us. We missed the turn off on East Ave. but were able to drive through the shopping center to the park. Apparently many people don't see the street sign hidden behind a tree and miss it. The road into the shopping center looks like the road you are on and East Ave. looks like an entrance to the shopping center.
